Huntley, St. Edward post wins

Freshman Raquel Radermacher scored a season-high 17 points Saturday as the Huntley girls basketball team won its second straight game, beating Crystal Lake South 42-34 in a Fox Valley Conference contest.

Freshman Kamsi Nwogu added 12 points for the Red Raiders (3-13, 2-6).

Lauren Schoen led the Gators (6-10, 1-6) with 13 points.

St. Edward 57, Byron 43: Yssa Sto. Domingo scored 18 points, all on 3-pointers, to lead the Green Wave (11-6) to a nonconference road win over the two-time defending Class 2A state champs. Mallory Rejman added 12 points to the win and Mariel Franco had 10.
