Grayslake Central rolls as Ikenn gets to 150

Rosie Drevline scored 13 points to lead a balanced attack, and Grayslake Central girls basketball coach Steve Ikenn notched career win No. 150, as the Rams defeated host North Chicago 67-33 in Northern Lake County Conference action Saturday.

Grayslake Central improved to 12-6 and 5-0 in the NLCC.

Ania Barnes, who missed the entire Warren Blue Devil Classic with a back injury, scored 11 points in her return to the lineup for the Rams. Kate Bullman also had 11 points, and Jordyn Gosell and Maura Fitzgerald each had 8 points.

Warren 52, Waukegan 29: Kaylen Dickson scored 13 points, and the Blue Devils won on their home court to improve to 13-5 and 6-1 in the North Suburban Conference.

Macy Kocen and Abbie Mellican added 8 and 7 points, respectively, for Warren. The Blue Devils played without Eastern Illinois-bound Jordyn Hughes, who missed the game with what coach John Stanczykiewicz called a lower-body injury.

Ja'Da White-McConnell had 13 points for Waukegan, which fell to 0-6 in the NSC.

Marist 49, Stevenson 35: At Benet, the Patriots lost as part of the Chicagoland Invitational Showcase.

Avery King scored 16 points, including two 3-pointers, to lead Stevenson (10-7), which suffered its fourth loss in a row. Kiana Cencula had 11 points (three 3-pointers). Marist held Patriots leading scorer Klaire Steffens scoreless.
