Batavia takes down St. Charles East
Erin Golden scored 14 points Friday to lead the Batavia girls basketball team to a 47-38 Upstate Eight River win over St. Charles East.
Ava Gergio added 12 points and Hailey Orman 9 for the Bulldogs (11-8, 5-1).
With the loss, the Saints fell to 7-9 overall and 2-3 in the conference.
West Aurora 57, West Chicago 42: In the UEC Valley, Skylar Doby (12 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists), Cinnamon Miles (12 points) and Essence Rayford (12 points) led West Aurora (12-4, 3-0).
Bartlett 63, Glenbard East 31: Kayla Hare had 20 points and 6 steals and Lexie Sinclair added 18 points as Bartlett (9-7, 3-0) to this UEC Valley win.
St. Charles North 65, Larkin 24: Annie Tate (21 points), Anna Davern (12) and Megan Gunninck (9) led the North Stars (10-7, 3-2) in the UEC River win. Brianna Young and Aaliyah Dixon had 8 points each for Larkin (2-15, 1-4).
Geneva 75, Elgin 27: Stephanie Hart had 13 points and Madison Mallory 12 for Geneva in its UEC River win. Margaret Whitley added 9 points for the Vikings (14-1, 5-0) and Emma Davine had 8. Dajha Cooper led Elgin (1-17, 0-7) with 10 points.
South Elgin 57, East Aurora 37: Catora Brown (18 points) and Megan McClure (13) led South Elgin (7-7, 2-1) to the UEC Valley win.
Huntley 57, Prairie Ridge 28: Kamsi Nwogu scored 15 points, Bridget Bigden had 11 and Raquel Radermacher 9 to lead Huntley (2-13, 1-6) to a Fox Valley Conference win.
Cary-Grove 45, CL South 38: Katie Sowa poured in 17 points to lead Cary-Grove (10-7, 4-3) to this FVC win. Brooke Kuffel scored 9 points and Maddie Bush had 8 for Crystal Lake South (6-9, 1-5).
Harvest Christian 57, Rockford Christian 21: In the Northeastern Athletic Conference, Alyssa Iverson had 15 points and Elena Porrata added 10 for Harvest Christian (15-3, 5-0).
