West Aurora gets past Schaumburg

Dajour Miles made 10 of 12 free throws and scored 18 points in West Aurora's 49-45 victory over Schaumburg at the Wheaton North Bill Neibch Falcon Classic.

The fifth-seeded Blackhawks (9-3) will play No. 4 Glenbrook South in the quarterfinals at 6 p.m. Wednesday.

Palatine 54, Elgin 17: Dajha Cooper paced the Maroons (0-14) with 6 points and Emily Graves added 5 at Wheaton North.

Cary-Grove 45, Conant 44: The Trojans (8-5) won their third straight game, beating the Cougars at the Libertyville tournament behind 21 points from Katie Sowa. Abby Getka added 10 points.

Carmel 65, Larkin 39: Sophomore Brianna Young scored 14 points for the Royals (2-10), who fell behind 19-5 after one quarter at Warren's Blue Devil Classic.

Aurora Christian 45, West Carroll 29: The Eagles (9-4) got off to a good start at the Earlville Christmas Tournament behind 14 points from Tori Henning. Lauren Richert added 9 points and Megan Hart scored 8. Aurora Christian has won five straight games.

Maine South 58, St. Charles North 51 (OT): At the Komaromy Charger Classic, Annie Tate had 22 points and Anna Davern added 12 for St. Charles North.
