Crystal Lake South takes 3rd at NIL Holiday Classic
Lauren Schoen scored 13 points Tuesday night to lead the Crystal Lake South girls basketball team to a 45-41 win over Lakes in the third place game of the Northern Illinois Holiday Classic at McHenry.
Emily Sulikowski added 8 points for the Gators (6-8), who finished 3-1 in the tournament.
St. Charles East 46, Larkin 38: Sara Rosenfeldt had 16 points and Ashlei DiOrio 11 for the Saints (4-7, 2-2) in their Upstate Eight River win. Nicole Jordan added 8 points for SCE.
Batavia 70, Elgin 28: Ava Sergio (20 points), Erin Golden (12) and Paris Chaney (11) led Batavia (8-6, 4-1) to this UEC River win. Dajha Cooper had 7 points and Kylie Graves scored 6 for Elgin (0-12, 0-6).
