Schaumburg falls to Geneva

State power Geneva, ranked No. 1 in the Daily Herald girls basketball rankings, raised its record to 9-0 on Wednesday night with a 61-34 nonconference triumph at Schaumburg.

The Vikings led 26-8 after one quarter and never looked back.

Schaumburg (0-11) received 6 points apiece from senior Kendall Fredrickson (one 3-pointer), junior Ariana Doroskin (one 3-pointer, 3 assists), senior Kayla Patterson and junior Vicky Aguirre, who had 5 rebounds.

Senior Emma Aguilar (5 points) and sophomore Talia Torosian (3 rebounds) also had 3-pointers for the Saxons.
