Filippone, Antioch win at Wauconda

Dan Filippone finished with a game-high 23 points as Antioch produced an 18-point fourth quarter in a 54-50 victory over host Wauconda on Saturday in Northern Lake County Conference play.

Filippone finished with three 3s.

Wauconda held a 2-point lead entering the final period after outscoring Antioch 20-12 in the third quarter.

Branden Gallimore (13 points), Jack Gillespie (10) and Andrew Hare (8) accounted for the rest of the scoring for the Sequoits.

Top point producers for Wauconda were Connor Brannick (10 points) and Chris Carlsen and Matthew Nolan (9 each).

Grayslake Central 46, Grant 44: The host Rams earned a narrow victory in NLCC action.

Grant had the ball with 12 seconds left but could not get off a quality shot before time expired.

Alec Novak led Grayslake Central with 14 points while Jack Spalding and Tony Crews each added 11 points apiece.

Henry Kusiak led Grant with 16 points, and teammate Hunter Waszkowski had 10.
