Bartlett's Hare hits for 28 more in win over St. Joe's

One night after scoring 34 points and eclipsing the 1,000 point mark for her career, Bartlett senior Kayla Hare was at it again Saturday.

Hare scored 28 points to lead the Hawks' girls basketball team to a 56-45 win over St. Joe's in the final game of the Naperville Central/Benet Tip-Off Tournament.

Justina Hernandez added 10 points for the Hawks, who moved to 3-2 on the season.

St. Edward 56, Plainfield South 50: Mariel Franco scored 19 points as St. Edward (1-3) won its final game of the Hinsdale South tournament. Haley Niehaus added 12 points for the Green Wave and Madison Knott had 9.

Hampshire 61, Proviso West 42: Freshman Kelby Bannerman had 15 points and 9 rebounds to lead Hampshire (2-3) to a win in the final round of the Hoffman Estates tournament. Morgan Haefling added 14 points for the Whip-Purs and Lauren Herrmann had 13.

St. Charles North 46, Hoffman Estates 24: Anna Davern scored 12 points to lead St. Charles North (3-2) to its third straight win in the final game of the Hoffman Estates tournament. Annie Tate had 9 points for the North Stars and Megan Gunnink added 8.

Batavia 40, Oswego East 32: The Bulldogs (3-3) ended the game with a 30-10 run to claim third place at the Naperville Central/Benet tournament.
