Sophomore Frank Jakubicek scored a game-high 19 points Monday night to lead the Cary-Grove boys basketball team to an 83-56 win over Woodstock at the Hoops for Healing tournament in Woodstock.

Beau Frericks added 17 points for the Trojans (1-0) and Sam Carhart had 15.

Aurora Christian 82, Parkview Christian 57: Jake Wolfe had 27 points, Will Wolfe 22 and Taaj Davis 14 to lead the Eagles to a season-opening win.

Lake Zurich 61, CL South 44: Tyler Haskin had 14 points for Crystal Lake South in its season-opening loss at the Johnsburg/Richmond tournament.
