Outlook: The Lions return three veteran starters from a team that won a regional and advanced to the sectional championship nine months ago. Leading the offense is the school's second all-time leading scorer, Clark, a Saint Louis University commit and four-year varsity player with 1,100 career points. Solimene is also a four-year starter and the team's second leading scorer a year ago. Mueller, a three-year starter and three-sport standout athlete, is a steady performer at both ends of the floor. She was the all-area setter for the school's girls volleyball team which took fourth in the Class 3A state tourney. "Her experience and versatility helps us immensely," said Lions coach Jason Raymond. Some players to watch are DeZellar and DeJulio. DeZellar missed all of last year with an ACL injury and looks to contribute both inside and outside. DeJulio is a transfer from Palatine High School. "She is a versatile guard," Raymond said. "She is vocal and will look to complement other players on the floor with her unselfish play." The Lions want to play up-tempo. "We look to play fast as we are a guard heavy team," Raymond said. "But we have a ton of experience. All of our games are important in that we strive to get better every game and that we are playing our best ball by the state tournament."
