The Falcons’ 6-foot-1 junior forward powered in a personal-high 27 points along with 17 rebounds, keying Wheaton North’s 65-55 overtime win at West Aurora to remain a game back of WW South in the DVC. Earlier in the week Baird had 12 points and 7 rebounds as Wheaton North beat Glenbard East 67-22.
The Chargers won three straight games led by their senior captain. A ferocious Fracek played fearlessly. The junior rebounding whiz was never better on the glass than she was against Round Lake. All she did was pluck a career-best 24 rebounds, including 18 on the offensive boards. She also scored a team-best 13 points, as the Sequoits captured a 56-37 victory.
The senior point guard orchestrated the Huskies’ offense to four wins in a span of a week. She capped things off with a team-high 13 points in the big 39-22 win over Elk Grove on senior night.
