Lewis sets Grant career assist record in victory

Logan Lewis made Grant boys basketball history Tuesday night, as the Bulldogs defeated Round Lake 71-49.

The senior point guard broke a 37-year-old school record, as he dished out his 392nd career assist. Lewis finished the game with 10 assists.

Grant's John Kerr had 21 points and 14 rebounds, Mike Huff had 16 points, Andy Kaye had 12 points and 8 rebounds, and Ben Kusiak had 10 points and 9 rebounds.

Hersey 68, Grayslake Central 59 OT: Despite 22 points from Jack Spaulding, Grayslake Central fell in overtime in nonconference action.

Hersey moves to 15-9 on the season thanks to a game-high 25 points from Joe Coffaro and 18 points from Grant Wagner.

Ken Hasley added 10 points for the Huskies.

Sidney Goodman also scored in double figures for Grayslake Central. He had 14 points.
