Kruse's winning play continues at Carthage

Carthage College junior forward Brad Kruse (Lake Zurich) knocked down a pair of free throws with 11 seconds left to give the Red Men their final points in a 91-88 overtime win over No. 25-ranked North Park.

On North Park's final possession, Kruse blocked a 3-point shot to end the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin game.

The Red Men won for the fourth straight time, improving to 8-4 in the CCIW and 16-6 overall.

Kruse finished the game with 13 points.

"Brad Kruse is, to steal a wrestling term 'The Ultimate Warrior'," said Red Men coach Bosko Djurickovic on the school's website. "There is not a team that I have coached that Brad Kruse couldn't have been a really important piece because he does everything you ask, and then some. He has become a better offensive player and a better free throw shooter."
