Spagnola's 31 leads St. Edward

Maddie Spagnola had 31 points, 7 assists and 6 steals Tuesday night to lead the St. Edward girls basketball team to an 80-44 Metro Suburban Blue win over Ridgewood, the Green Wave's seventh win in their last eight games.

Yssa Sto. Domingo added 14 points and 5 steals for the Wave (21-5, 11-0) while Mariel Franco had 11 points and Hailey Niehaus 8.

South Elgin 44, East Aurora 34: In the Upstate Eight Valley, Mackie Kelleher scored 17 points to lead the first-place Storm to the win on the road. Grace Franks added 10 points for South Elgin (21-5, 11-0), which won its sixth straight game, and Teagan Pompa had 9.

Aurora Christian 46, Christian Liberty Academy 10: Tori Henning scored 16 points and Alex Fry added 12 for Aurora Christian (17-8, 7-2) in its Northeastern Athletic Conference win.
