Wicklund powers Stevenson; Dickson paces Warren
Madison Wicklund scored a career-high 21 points, and Stevenson's girls basketball team beat host Zion-Benton 51-35 in North Suburban Conference action Tuesday night.
Klaire Steffens added 12 points for the NSC leaders, who led 18-0 after the opening quarter and were up 27-10 at halftime. Ashley Richardson and Isabella Paldrmic each had 6 points for Stevenson (19-5, 11-1).
Margie Villaruz had 15 points for Zion-Benton (9-14, 2-10).
Warren 44, Lake Zurich 23: Kaylen Dickson scored 17 points, Jordyn Hughes added 15, and the host Blue Devils won in North Suburban play.
Warren (21-4, 9-3) was up 7-5 after one quarter and then outscored the Bears 17-3 in the second quarter.
Morgan Long led Lake Zurich (11-13, 7-5) with 6 points.
Lake Forest 34, Libertyville 33: The host Scouts cooled off the Wildcats, who had won 10 of their last 12 games.
Claire Keefe had 15 points and 8 rebounds for Libertyville (15-10, 7-6), which also got 6 points and 9 boards from Caroline Frea.
Lake Forest (19-9, 8-4) was led by Grace Tirzmalis with 13 points and Maeve Summerville with 10.
Mundelein 54, Waukegan 25: Sarah Ouimet's 14 points led the host Mustangs to the North Suburban victory.
Kendall Wald and Hannah Buscher added 12 and 8 points, respectively, for Mundelein (12-15, 4-8), and each player made two 3-pointers.
Waukegan fell to 0-12 in the NSC.
