Grayslake North tops Round Lake
James Connolly scored 23 points, including three 3-pointers, and Grayslake North's boys basketball team outlasted host Round Lake 71-60 in Northern Lake County Conference action Tuesday night.
Zach Kuligoski poured in 34 points, including five 3-pointers, for the Panthers.
Jamal Thomas and Ryan Connolly each had 15 points for Grayslake North (14-6, 6-4).
Lucas Hollingsworth added 14 points for Round Lake (2-18, 0-10).
Grayslake Central 50, Antioch 48 (OT): Jack Spalding scored 13 points, and the host Rams prevailed in overtime in Northern Lake County play.
Grayslake Central improved to 8-14 and 4-6 in the NLCC.
Dan Filippone had 20 points for Antioch (6-14, 2-8), and Reece Eldridge scored 13.
Grant 60, Lakes 44: Mike Huff scored a game-high 22 points and John Kerr had 19 along with 8 rebounds as the visiting Bulldogs stayed within a game of Northern Lake County Conference leader North Chicago.
Grant (13-8, 8-1), which led 56-25 after three quarters, got every player into the game and had nine players score.
Grant host North Chicago on Friday.
Logan McCann had 8 points, including two 3-pointers, for Lakes (9-12, 5-5).
North Chicago 79, Wauconda 60: Raeshaun Samoa scored 18 points for the visiting Warhawks, who improved to 10-0 in the Northern Lake County.
Jarod Stonis scored 25 points (five 3-pointers) for Wauconda (7-13, 3-6), and Kyle Drobnik had 14.
