Grayslake Central comes back at Vernon Hills

Grayslake Central's girls basketball team picked up a 54-49 victory over host Vernon Hills on Monday in nonconference play.

The Rams, who came from behind with 22 points in the fourth quarter, managed to have four players score in double figures - Amanda Larson and Kate Bullman had 12 apiece, while Lindsay Brust had 11 and Maura Fitzgerald had 10.

Top producers for Vernon Hills (11-13) were Kayla Caudle (18 points, 10 rebounds) and Becky Bahlmann (17 points, 18 rebounds).

Grayslake North 54, North Chicago 32: Sidney Lovitsch poured in a game-high 31 points and sophomore Margaret Stanfel had 10 as the visiting Knights rolled to a Northern Lake County Conference victory.

Grayslake North improved to 14-9 overall and 8-3 in league play.
