St. Viator wins on the road

Junior guard Olivia Solimene scored 17 points to help lead St. Viator's girls basketball team past host Resurrection 55-36 on Saturday afternoon in Chicago.

The Lions raised their record to 11-12 and will host Marian Central at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the Cahill Gymnasium in Arlington Heights.

Glenbrook South 42, Hersey 39: Hersey rallied from a 17-point deficit in the third quarter and just feel short to the Titans in Glenview.

The Huskies (19-3) were led by senior Claire Grit who scored 25 points, her ninth game with 20 or more points this season.

Willowbrook 29, Leyden 25: Willowbrook won the West Suburban Gold contest in Franklin Park and the Eagles next game will be Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. when they celebrate Senior Night against Addison Trail.
