Westminster, Harvest earn NAC wins

Ben Versluys scored 28 points Friday night to lead the Westminster Christian boys basketball team to a 58-54 win over Illinois Math & Science in a Northeastern Athletic Conference game in Aurora.

Caleb Thomas added 11 points for the Warriors (12-4, 5-0).

Harvest Christian 62, South Beloit 50: Harvest remained undefeated in the NAC behind 20 points from Brennen Woods. JJ Flores added 12 points for the Lions (15-4, 6-0).

Cary-Grove 74, Hampshire 59: Zach Beaugureau had 15 points, Dan Clarke 11 and Matt McCumber 10 to lead the Trojans (9-7, 4-3) to this Fox Valley Conference win. William Dumoulin led Hampshire with 12 points while Nathan Cork, JD Shaw and Drew Dalby added 10 each for the Whip-Purs (4-15, 1-6).

CL South 37, Huntley 35: Matt Myers had 10 points and Nick Leva added 8 to lead Crystal Lake South (8-10, 4-3) to this FVC win. Luke Mahnke scored 12 points and Matt Seng 11 for Huntley (5-14, 3-4).
