Diaz, Round Lake top North Chicago
Lesley Diaz scored a game-high 16 points and also provided 10 assists and 5 rebounds to help Round Lake's girls basketball team to a 52-27 victory over North Chicago on Wednesday in Northern Lake County Conference play.
Sophomore Samantha Nicoline had 10 points for the Panthers, who improved to 5-14 overall and 2-7 in league play.
Carmel 51, St. Viator 38: The visiting Corsairs got 12 points, 4 steals and 5 rebounds from freshman Katie Lach in picking up an East Suburban Catholic Conference road win.
Sophomore Caitlin Teehan had 8 points and 5 steals for Carmel (13-9, 2-2), and Daija Pruitt contributed 8 points, 5 rebounds and 5 blocks.
