Antioch's win streak reaches 10

Antioch's girls basketball team stretched its season-best winning streak to 10 games Tuesday night with a 56-33 win over host Richmond-Burton in nonconference action.

Amy Reiser, Ashley Reiser and Erika Gallimore each scored 14 points for the Sequoits (19-3), who led only 12-10 after one quarter but outscored the Rockets 17-7 in the second and 19-6 in the third.

Ashley Reiser also dished out 7 assists, while Amy Reiser (5 steals) and Gallimore hauled in 7 boards apiece.

New Trier 56, Libertyville 43: The host Wildcats saw their three-game winning streak snapped with the nonconference loss.

Libertyville (11-9) trailed 19-13 after one quarter and 30-19 at halftime, but outscored the Trevians 20-11 in the third to get within 41-39. New Trier outscored Libertyville 15-4 in the fourth.

Caroline Frea had 11 points and 11 rebounds for the Wildcats, who also got 9 points from Claire Keefe.

"We played a tough, physical game," Libertyville coach Greg Pedersen said. "I liked how we battled in the third quarter ​to​ put together a great run."
