Semifinal setback for Antioch at Lisle

Antioch's girls basketball team was denied a berth in the championship game of the Lisle Holiday Cage Classic Thursday night, as Illiana Christian captured a 53-48 decision.

Erika Gallimore's 16 points and Ashley Reiser's 14, which included two 3-pointers, paced Antioch (8-3). Amy Reiser had 8 points.

The Sequoits will take on St. Francis in Friday's third-place game at 6:30 p.m.

Conant 47, Streamwood 39: At Libertyville, all-tournament selection Jorie Wachal scored 24 points to lead the Cougars, who finished 2-2.

Jenejha Williams (11 points) and Maddi Exline (10) led Streamwood, which went 1-3. Williams and Mandy Mien represented the Sabres on the all-tournament team.

Cary-Grove 47, Hoffman Estates 21: At Libertyville, Katie Sowa scored 13 for the Trojans, who went 3-1 to earn a share of the tournament championship with Libertyville and Vernon Hills.

Sowa and Katie Demert made the all-tourney team for Cary-Grove.

Monraia Wilson scored 9 points for Hoffman Estates (0-4) and was named all-tournament.
