Munroe scores 27 in St. Charles East's win

St. Charles East broke open a close game by outscoring Streamwood 24-5 in the second quarter on its way to a 64-35 Upstate Eight Conference River Division victory.

Sam Munroe led the Saints (10-2) with 27 points including five 3-pointers. She also added 4 assists and 4 rebounds.

Sara Rosenfeldt had 12 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 steals. Nicole Jordan scored 12 points and Marissa Urso had 8 points and 9 rebounds.

Mandy Mien led the Sabres with 17 points and Rebecca Roncone scored 9.

Kaneland 72, Rockford East 54: At the Ottawa Christmas Classic, the Knights improved to 9-1 overall behind Jenni Weber's 24 points, 4 steals and 3 rebounds. Morgan Weber had 18 points to go with 5 rebounds and 2 steals while Grace Ringel added 13 points and 7 rebounds. Kaneland shot a 48.5 percent clip from the field and converted 37 of its 52 free throws.

Aurora Christian 58, IMSA 33: The Eagles (9-3,5-0) were led in scoring Tori Henning with 21 in three quarters. Megan Hart added 9, and Alexandra Fry and Paris Chaney scored 8 each.

St. Edward 61, Ridgewood 27: St. Edward (8-3) won its sixth straight behind 21 points from Maddie Spagnola. Katelyn Castoro and Mariel Franco both scored 7. St. Edward led 19-3 after the first quarter.
