Williams helps Lake Forest stop Libertyville

Lake Forest stopped Libertyville's win streak at two with a 48-44, overtime decision in North Suburban Conference girls basketball Thursday.

Delaney Williams was a force for the host Scouts (9-2, 4-1). She made 9 of 19 shots from the field and 5-for-7 at the foul line to finish with a game-high 24 points. Williams also contributed 5 rebounds, 3 assists and 5 steals.

Halle Douglass finished with 13 points on a 6-for-9 shooting effort and also contributed 6 steals.

Morgan Manski led Libertyville (5-6, 2-3) with 16 points, including four 3s. Caroline Frea had 14 points.

Libertyville's rough spot was the third quarter, during which their only scoring was a field goal by Frea and a pair of free throws.
