Aurora Central's Czerak erupts for 39 in win over ICCP

Brett Czerak scorched the nets for 39 points Friday night in leading the Aurora Central Catholic boys basketball team to a 70-60 win over IC Catholic Prep in Metro Suburban Conference action.

Mac Cowen added 11 points for the Chargers (5-1, 2-0), who won their fifth straight.

South Elgin 63, Glenbard East 48: Vincent Miszkiewicz scored 15 points and David Binion added 13 lead South Elgin to a win in the Upstate Eight Valley opener. Collin Uveges added 14 points for the Storm (4-2, 1-0).

St. Edward 69, Ridgewood 61: In the Metro Suburban Conference, Kelvin Cortez-Harvey led St. Edward with 20 points. AJ Franklin added 15 for the Green Wave (4-6, 2-0) and Steve Poremba had 13.

Harvest Christian 72, Woodstock North 65: JJ Flores scored 22 points and Collin Woods added 14 to lead the Lions (7-2) to this nonconference win. Andre White Jr. added 11 points for Harvest.
