Kaneland wins ICCP tourney crown

Morgan Weber had 25 points and 8 rebounds Friday to lead Kaneland's girls basketball team to a 59-30 win over IC Catholic Prep and the championship of the IC tournament.

Grace Ringel added 12 points for the Knights (3-0).

Stevenson 42, St. Charles East 39: Sara Rosenfeldt had 20 points to lead St. Charles East at the Schaumburg tournament.

St. Ignatius 46, St. Edward 32: Maddie Spagnola had 10 points and Katie Castoro 8 for the Green Wave (2-2) at the Hinsdale South tournament.

St. Charles North 45, Lake Park 36: Anna Davern had 17 points for the North Stars in their win at the Hoffman Estates tournament.

Bartlett 67, Metea Valley 47: Kayla Hare had 21 points and 5 steals while Dani Kleeman added 14 points, 7 rebounds and 4 steals as Bartlett (1-3) won its first game of the season at the Naperville Central tournament. Taylor Tomasek added 11 points, 5 rebounds, 4 steals and 4 assists for the Hawks.
