ACC, Westminster stay perfect on season

Taylor Harazin scored 20 points and freshman Delani Kosner added 13 Thursday night to lead the Aurora Central Catholic girls basketball team to a 53-34 win over Newark at the Somonauk tournament.

The Chargers (3-0) will face Serena Friday night for the tournament championship.

Alex Johnston added 5 points and 10 assists for ACC in Thursday's win.

Westminster Christian 31, Elgin JV 28: The Warriors made it a 3-0 start to the season as Grace Schmitt scored 7 points and had 4 rebounds to lead the way at the Elgin Academy tournament. She made 5 of 6 free throws in the fourth quarter. Emily Lamp added 6 points, 6 rebounds and 5 steals for Westminster while Elise VanNoord had 6 points. Westminster will play for the tournament title on Saturday.

Rosary 37, IMSA 23: Sophia Kramer had 10 points and 6 rebounds, Zoe Ketterman 7 points and Lauren Smith 8 rebounds to lead Rosary to a win at the Rosary/IMSA tournament.
