Lahrman plays as Wauconda tops Mundelein

Sidelined all season after undergoing surgery on both hips, Wauconda senior Zac Lahrman received medical clearance to play on Senior Night.

He played one possession on offense, missing his only shot, as Wauconda went on to post a 79-65 win over visiting Mundelein in the two teams' North Suburban Conference crossover Tuesday.

Bryan Nee led Wauconda (10-15) with a career-high 26 points that included six 3-pointers. The senior guard also had 4 assists and 4 steals. Jarod Stonis and Will Rudd added 10 points apiece for the Bulldogs. Both Rudd and Parker Fink (8 points) hit a pair of 3s.

Mundelein (2-28) received 14 points apiece from Aaron Woolford and Tommy Marcotte.

Libertyville 65, Vernon Hills 42: The visiting Wildcats won the North Suburban crossover to improve to 16-10.

Vernon Hills fell to 13-16.

Grayslake North 75, McHenry 50: The Knights cruised in their final home game of the season, bolting to a 29-8 lead after one quarter and taking a 42-23 advantage into halftime.

Grayslake North improved to 23-3 with the Fox Valley Conference crossover win.

Grayslake Central 50, Huntley 47: The Rams saved the best for last, scoring 21 points in the fourth quarter to earn a 50-47 victory in a Fox Valley Conference crossover.

David Kienzle had 5 of his team-best 13 points in the fourth period for host Grayslake Central, which squared its record at 13-13.

Jack Beckman finished with 12 points, while Sam Ruhlmann and DeJon Goodman had 6 apiece for Grayslake Central. All Ruhlmann's points came at the foul line and included a 4-for-4 effort in the fourth quarter, and Goodman made a pair of 3s. Alec Novak scored all 5 of his points, including a 3-pointer, in the fourth for the Rams.

The outcome snapped a three-game losing streak for the Rams.
