Batavia tips York in overtime

Batavia 56, York 50 (OT): Senior Hannah Frazier scored 24 points to lead the Bulldogs (23-5) to a nonconference win, Batavia's seventh straight win. Frazier now has 1,990 career points and can eclipse the 2,000-point mark on Thursday when the Bulldogs host St. Charles East for Senior Night.

Batavia trailed 19-11 at halftime before battling back with 15 points in the third quarter, 17 in the fourth and 13 in overtime. The Bulldogs made 21 of 25 free throws.

Geddy Rerko scored 12 points, Bethany Orman and Hailey Orman had 7 points each, and Mackenzie Foster tallied 4 points in the overtime.

Aurora Christian 39, Putnam County 30: The Eagles (14-12) came from behind in the second half to win their regional opener at the Class 2A Seneca regional and will play St. Bede at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Seneca.

Kirsten Madsen led Aurora Christian with 11 points, and Sami Hultine and Tori Henning both scored 8.

Hampshire 61, Grayslake North 49: Emma Benoit scored 26 points and Rachel Dumoulin added 19 to lead the Whip-Purs (18-8, 9-3) to a win in the final Fox Valley Conference Fox Division game of the season. Hampshire will host Dundee-Crown at 7 p.m. Tuesday on FVC crossover night.
