Aurora Central's Czerak eclipses 1,000

Aurora Central Catholic's Brett Czerak surpassed the 1,000 point mark for his career Friday night in the Chargers' 67-61 loss to Glenbard South in Metro Suburban West boys basketball action.

Czerak, who had 980 points coming into the contest, scored 22 against the Raiders. Evan Schuetz led the Chargers (10-8, 4-3) with 24 points.

Aurora Christian 80, Harvest Christian 33: In the Northeastern Athletic Conference, RD Lutze had 28 points and Jake Wolfe added 14 to lead the Eagles (17-4, 8-0) to the win. Jeremiah Wright also contributed 9 assists and 7 steals for Aurora Christian.

CL South 50, Dundee-Crown 32: Zach Geske (17 points) and Joshua Friesen (10 points) led Crystal Lake South (11-8, 5-1) to the Fox Valley Conference Valley Division win. Jake Orndahl had 8 points for Dundee-Crown (1-17, 0-6).

Hampshire 69, CL Central 37: Brennan Woods had 18 points, Deion Garcia 14 and Luke Tuttle 10 to carry Hampshire (5-14, 3-6) to the FVC Fox win.

Fenton 73, St. Edward 68 (2 OTs): Kelvin Cortez-Harvey scored 24 points and Sean Phelan added 20 for St. Edward (11-10, 1-6) in this Metro Suburban West loss.

Westminster Christian 57, Keith 46: Dillon Rejman had 21 points and was 9 of 10 from the free-throw line to lead the Warriors (11-6, 4-2) to the NAC victory.

U-High 48, Elgin Academy 31: In the Independent School League, Dee Robinson had 11 points and Jordan Hare 7 for Elgin Academy.
