Steinhaus, Peterson pace a Libertyville victory

Paul Steinhaus hit a pair of 3s and made all five of his free throws to finish with a game-high 27 points as Libertyville's boys basketball team earned a 76-60 victory over visiting Grant in a North Suburban Conference divisional crossover matchup.

Drew Peterson also made two 3s and finished with 20 points for the Wildcats (10-7), who started things off with a 29-point first quarter which included 16 points from Steinhaus and 11 from Peterson.

Junior guard Ben Kusiak led Prairie Division leader Grant (9-9) with 19 points, while Logan Lewis and James Mobley both contributed 10.

Lakes 45, Mundelein 39: Lakes extended its winning streak to three straight games with a strong defensive effort against Mundelein.

Colton Jewell led the Eagles (9-8) with a double-double of 13 points and 10 rebounds.
