Bartlett, Streamwood split at MLK tournaments

At WW South: In the opening game of the WW South MLK Tournament, Robby Jimenez scored 15 points while Tyler Pauletti and Jason Hasenberg had 9 each for Bartlett in a 65-52 loss to the host school. In their second game of the day Bartlett defeated Plainfield South 52-45. Pauletti led the way with 18 points, while Benjamin Reyes added 11 and Hasenberg 10 for the Hawks (11-7).

Meanwhile, Huntley fell in both its games at WWS, losing to Downers Grove South 67-40 and to Metea Valley 82-56. Against DGS, Makomborero Tizora led the Red Raiders with 12 points. Against Metea, Danny Spoeth had 14 points, Tizora 12 and Matthew Seng 10 for Huntley (6-12).

Streamwood splits: At the Lake Zurich MLK Tournament, Streamwood defeated Maine East 63-60 but lost to Richmond-Burton 50-48. Jaleel Jenkins led the Sabres in both games, scoring 29 points against Maine East and 22 against Richmond. Brendon Marton added 15 points for the Sabres in the Richmond game.

At Hononegah: West Aurora (3-11) fell twice at the Hononegah Shootout, losing to the host Indians 64-56 and then to Normal 54-42. DaVion Cross led the Blackhawks with 14 points against Hononegah while Camron Donatlan added 12 and Caleb Siler 10.
