Prospect rolls in home opener

Prospect's girls basketball team played its first game of the season at the Jean Walker Fieldhouse on Monday night in Mt. Prospect and came away with a convincing 51-26 victory over Mundelein.

The Knights (4-1), who will conclude play at the York Thanksgiving Tournament on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. against the host Dukes, did not allow more than 6 points in any of the first three quarters on Monday.

Balanced scoring was the host's offensive theme, led by senior Angela Roman (9 points), sophomore Emily Frasco (8), senior Angelina Villasin (7), junior Maggie Determann (6) and senior Nikki Matters (5).

Frasco connected for a pair of 3-pointers while junior Eileen Donohue had one.
