Vernon Hills handles Woodstock North

Vernon Hills 49, Woodstock North 40: At the Vernon Hills Thanksgiving tournament, host Vernon Hills got a win over Woodstock North by coming up clutch at the free throw line. The Cougars hit 10-of-10 free throws in the fourth quarter.

Kayla Caudel led the way with 18 points and 7 rebounds while Dana Meline added 12 points, 5 rebounds, 7 steals and 4 assists. Katie Burrows chipped in with 6 points, 3 rebounds and 4 steals.

In the other games, Lake Forest Academy defeated Maine East, 50-43 and Lake Forest defeated Glenbrook North, 56-50.

Antioch 66, Resurrection 60 OT: The Reiser sisters led Antioch to a big overtime win over Resurrection, as Ashely Reiser had 24 points and Amy Reiser had 13 points.

Antioch had raced out to a 21-3 lead by the end of the first quarter. Foul trouble allowed Resurrection to get back into the game.

Ashley Reiser made 8-of-8 free throws in overtime to secure the win.

Fremd 64, Lake Zurich 32: At the Turkey Thriller, senior forward McKenna Zobel was the only player to reach double-figures for host Lake Zurich. She had 14 points.

Johnsburg 60, Lakes 39: At the Turkey Thriller at Lake Zurich, Ellie Haviland had 10 points and Izzy Quaranta had 9 points to lead Lakes.

Wauconda 39, Round Lake 29: Katie Rossetti had 14 points and 6 rebounds to lead host Wauconda to a win at the Wauconda Tournament. Teammate Allie Tylka added 9 points.

For Round Lake, Miyah Johnson had 10 points.

Evanston 47, Stevenson 32: Senior guard Janine Fajardo paced Stevenson with 8 points.
