Season outlook: The Eagles don't have a lot of size, but that is about all they are missing. Lutze is a three-year starter and a deadeye shooter who can score in a variety of ways. He averaged a team-best 14 points last year and 7 rebounds a game. Wolfe started as a freshman and made major strides throughout the course of the season, then had an even better off-season. The son of former Michigan State player Todd Wolfe, Jake generated college interest of his own, and he also grew 4 inches. "Dynamic player," Eagles coach Pat McNamara said. "High basketball IQ. Excellent all-around player." Wolfe is the youngest kid in his grade with an August birthday. "Jake Wolfe, in my opinion, is the real deal," McNamara said. "Terrific player and an even better kid. He works really hard on the court, good leadership abilities, really good skills. Sees the floor exceptionally well." Wright, coming off an excellent football season, averaged 4 points and 4 assists last year. "Our most improved player from last year," McNamara said. "Super quick." The coach's son, Pat McNamara, led the team in assists last year while scoring 8 points a game. "Good leadership abilities," coach McNamara said. All three of the newcomers should step right into the rotation. "We do not have very much size," McNamara said. "But we have intelligent players that really worked hard in the off-season and want to win." The Eagles move to the Northern Athletic Conference, which will bring a number of schools to the schedule the Eagles aren't familiar with. "I have only seen three or four teams play last year," McNamara said. "I am not quite sure how we stand yet."
