Rappe, Carmel snap skid against Deerfield

Emma Rappe scored 19 points, and Carmel Catholic's girls basketball team snapped a six-game losing streak with a 51-37 nonconference win over visiting Deerfield on Tuesday night.

Daija Pruitt added 12 points for the Corsairs (8-18).

Grayslake North 55, Woodstock North 47: Abbey Stinner scored a season-high 19 points to lead the Knights to the Fox Valley Fox win.

Grayslake North (15-13, 8-4) also received 14 points from Sidney Lovitsch and 11 from Brandi Thibeaux.

Libertyville 60, Round Lake 33: Becky Deichl and Caroline Frea scored 12 and 11 points, respectively, for the Wildcats in the North Suburban crossover.

Libertyville (16-11) had 11 players score. Molly Cayce hit a pair of 3-pointers, while Maggie O'Sullivan, Addie Neal, Riley Weis and Hannah Heraty also made shots from beyond the arc.

"Tonight was a great night for our team," Wildcats coach Greg Pedersen said. "Everyone contributed in the scoring column for our last home game of the season."

Round Lake's Tatyana Steadman led all scorers with 16 points.

Zion-Benton 56, Vernon Hills 53: The Cougars failed to hold 45-37 lead after three quarters and dropped the North Suburban crossover.

Vernon Hills (20-7) received 13 points apiece from Haley Lieberman and Monica Bahlmann. Becky Bahlmann added 10 for the Cougars.

Mundelein 45, Grant 36: Amy Richards and Maria DeVito each scored 12 points for the host Mustangs in their North Suburban crossover.

Natalie Busscher added 10 points for Mundelein (10-18).

Freshman Mallory Harrity had 11 points for Grant (10-17), while Jasmine Sangster had 9.

Lake Forest 37, Wauconda 25: Grace Torkelson broke the Scouts' career rebounding record set last year by Annie Keller.

Torkelson finished with 12 points and 11 rebounds for Lake Forest (17-13).

Wauconda fell to 9-14.
