Clutch finish from Deichl, Libertyville

Becky Deichl sank a pair of free throws with four seconds left, as Libertyville's girls basketball team rallied past host Lake Forest 58-57 in a North Suburban Lake Division thriller Thursday night.

Sophomore Molly Cayce scored a season-high 15 points, including four 3-pointers, for Libertyville (15-9, 7-4), which trailed 39-34 after three quarters.

Maggie Piazzi added 11 points for the Wildcats, who snapped a two-game losing streak. Riley Weis and Deichl finished with 9 and 8 points, respectively.

"It was great to see our players have the courage to come from behind in the fourth quarter and take the lead for good with four seconds left in the game." Libertyville coach Greg Pedersen said.

Lake Forest's Brooke Green led all scorers with 19 points and also collected 8 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals. Maeve Summerville had 14 (three 3-pointers), and Grace Torkelson posted 10 points and 10 rebounds for the Scouts (16-12, 6-5).
