Girls basketball: Fox Valley roundup Wednesday, Feb. 4

Jacobs 65, Cary-Grove 59 (OT): Carly Sidor may have scored a game-high 21 points for Jacobs but it was Jessica Powell's 6 that made the difference in overtime for the Golden Eagles (9-15, 3-6) as they won at home over the Trojans in Fox Valley Conference Valley Division action. Sidor hit five 3-pointers while Talia Surges (12 points) and Kerri Healy (10 points) each hit a pair. Jacobs finished with 13 3-pointers. Candace Cunningham led the Trojans (9-14, 3-6) with 16 points. Allison Josefowicz finished with 15 while Katie Sowa netted 13.

Dundee-Crown 55, Grant 47: Big second and fourth quarters helped propel the Chargers (13-14) to a nonconference win on the road. Jesania Laboy scored a game-high 16 points while Creighton Fed chipped in with 15 including three 3-pointers. Melissa Barker also had three 3-pointers and finished with 11 points for D-C.
