Weber (20 points) paces Barrington's win

Junior guard Ben Weber struck for a career-high 20 points as Barrington's boys basketball team rolled past Marmion Academy 73-36 on Saturday in a nonconference game.

Also reaching double figures for the Broncos (16-6) were Will Reinhard (14 points) and Tristen Becker (11), who converted three 3-pointers.

Palatine 76, South Elgin 63: The visiting Pirates scored 20 or more points in each of the first three quarters on the way to a nonconconference victory.

Senior forward Justin Chaney of Palatine (18-6) had six 3s and finished with a game-high 24 points, and Michael Williams contributed 21 points.

"We shot the really well and did a nice job of attacking the rim," said Palatin coach Eric Millstone. "Our defense did a good job of forcing some turnovers, and that led to us getting some good looks at the basket."

R.J. Smith contributed 12 points and Chris Macahon 9 for the Pirates, who have won seven straight heading into Friday's MSL West game at Fremd.

Maine East 51, Rolling Meadows 48: Sophomore Jared Murphy (16 points) and Luka Pavlakis (14) led visiting Rolling Meadows in the nonconference loss in Park Ridge.
