Boys basketball: Fox Valley roundup Friday, Jan. 30

Harvest Christian 72, IMSA 57: Thanks to a pair of players with big nights, the Lions (11-11, 2-5) find themselves back to .500 on the year after a Northeastern Athletic Conference win at home. Brett Cramer led the offense with 26 points, with 12 in the fourth quarter, but Austin White was right behind him. White scored 10 in the second quarter and finished with 25 for the Lions.

University High 71, Elgin Academy 24: Dee Robinson scored a team-high 14 points but it was not enough as the Hilltoppers (1-10, 0-6) fell in an Independent School League matchup.

Westminster Christian 69, Christian Liberty 57: As Warriors coach Burce Firchau put it, "It's hard to lose when you have five guys in double figures." Scoring 31 points in the fourth quarter also helps as the Warriors (15-5, 8-1) keep winning in NAC play. Peter Hahn led the offensive charge with 19 points. Scott Graziano (16 points) and Dillon Rejman (11 points) each hit three 3-pointers each while Sam Carani and Robert Kleczynski finished with 11 and 10 points respectively for the Warriors.

St. Edward 50, Fenton 47: Kelvin Cortez-Harvey scored 19 points and helped propel the Green Wave (18-3, 6-1) to another Metro Suburban West win and their fifth straight overall. Cortez-Harvey hit three 3-pointers, two in the second quarter, while Joe French added 13 points. Nick Duffy also chipped in 10 for St. Edward and moved his career point total to 981.
