Boys basketball: Fox Valley roundup Tuesday, Jan. 27

Westminster Christian 73, Kirkland-Hiawatha 28: Exploding for 38 points before halftime, the Warriors (15-5, 8-1) got back to their winning ways with a Northeastern Athletic Conference matchup at home. Sam Carani hit six 3-pointers on his way to a 25-point night. Dillion Rejman added another 13 points while Bard Barker netted 12.

Harvest Christian 69, Paw Paw 56: With four players hitting double digits in scoring, the Lions (10-11) snapped a 4-game losing streak with a home win in nonconference action. Noah Fox led the way with 16 points while Riley Steiner and Brett Cramer had 13 and 10 points respectively. Lucas Bandy added 14 off the bench.

Richmond-Burton 72, Burlington Central 67: Down one with 30 seconds left a 3-point attempt went in and out of the basket, sealing the loss for the Rockets (8-13, 3-4) in Big Northern East play. Ryan Fitzgerald scored a team-high 20 points but it was not enough for BC, which led by one after the third. Luck McCurdy and Zach Shutta each scored 12 points while Andrew Wiss scored 11.
