Elk Grove savors senior success
The senior group for Elk Grove's girls basketball team kept its record perfect.
Seniors Amber Lindfors, Marjorie Sloan, O'Rayn Macavoy, Sara Engler, Carly Benjamin and Dorothy Christoforou (manager) have never been part of a loss on senior night.
With Lindfors and Macavoy collecting double-doubles, coach Jennifer Guth's Grenadiers raced past visiting Carmel 56-47 in the nonconference game.
Lindfors collected 23 points, 13 rebounds and 7 blocked shots while Macavoy had 16 points and 10 rebounds.
Sarah Pauscher chipped in 6 points for the Grens (6-13) while Alex Masnica and Engler each converted 3-pointers.
