Girls basketball/Fox Valley roundup Saturday, Jan. 10

McHenry 55, Dundee-Crown 48: Despite a big game from Jesania Laboy, the Chargers (8-12, 0-4) could not come back from a 10-point halftime deficit in this Fox Valley Conference Valley Division loss. Laboy scored 16 points while teammate Creighton Fed finished with 10.

Bartlett 49, Glenbard East 32: Thanks in large part to a 19-point third quarter, the Hawks (10-6, 5-1) rolled in the Upstate Eight Conference Valley Division. Kaitlyn Brohan finished with 16 points with teammates Kelly Harris and Lauren Janczak scoring 12 each for Bartlett.

Rockford Christian Life 55, Westminster Christian 50: A monster outing from Maddie Versluys was not enough to prevent the Warriors (9-6, 4-1) from falling for the first time in Northeastern Athletic Conference play. Versluys had 27 points and 12 rebounds, while Emma Kovachevich finished with 11 points.

Riverside-Brookfield 45, St. Edward 35: Falling for the fourth time in a row, the Green Wave (12-6, 3-3) continued to struggle on the offensive end in a Metro Suburban West loss. Cece Rapp led the way with a double-double, 11 points and 13 rebounds, while Katelyn Castoro added 9 points for St. Edward.
