Conant steps up again, tops Lake Park

Conant got a balanced scoring effort to pull out a 61-50 victory over Wheeling touranment champion Lake Park on Saturday in nonconference play in Roselle.

Chris Dolce (17 points), Kyle Bradley (12), Jimmy Sotos (11) and Danny Sotos (10) led the way for the the Cougars, who have won five straight.

Dolce hit three 3s and Jimmy Sotos made two.

The Cougars (8-6) limited Lake Park to 4 points in the first quarter and 5 in the third.

Lake Park was led in scoring by Marcus McDaniel (17 points).

New Trier 56, Buffalo Grove 39: The visiting Trevians took control with a 20-point first quarter in picking up a nonconference victory.

Robbie Abuls led all scorers with 18 points for New Trier, and Sean Boyd had 10.

Buffalo Grove's top scorer was Jack VaseLaney with 8 points. Collin Dekorski made a pair of 3s and finished with 6 points for the Bison.
