Girls basketball / Lake County roundup

Antioch's girls basketball team scored the game's first 20 points and rolled to a 51-37 win over visiting Warren in a North Suburban Conference crossover Friday night.

Amy Reiser led all scorers with 14 points and added 5 rebounds and 5 steals, as the Sequoits improved to 15-2 with their 12th straight win. Shannon Zogran added a season-high 10 points (two 3-pointers) and 3 steals, while Carly McCameron dominated in the paint with 9 points and 10 rebounds. Antioch also received another strong game from Ashley Reiser (8 points, 8 rebounds, 9 assists). Kelly Johnson chipped in 8 points.

Warren (5-10) was paced by freshman Jordyn Hughes' 13 points.

Wheeling 52, Lake Zurich 37: On Thursday night, the Bears dropped their nonconference home game, despite 18 points and 5 rebounds from Elly Daleske.

Lake Zurich fell to 6-8.

Wheeling received 18 points and 4 assists from UAB-bound Deanna Kuzmanic.
