DePaul's Rogowski to miss rest of season

Former Hersey High School star Megan Rogowski will miss the remainder of DePaul's season after tearing an anterior cruciate ligament in her right knee, team officials announced Tuesday.

Rogowski, a senior averaging 12.9 points per game this season for 10-5 DePaul, suffered the injury at Villanova on Jan. 2.

"Megan Rogowski has been a mainstay in our DePaul back court since her freshman year and has worked to make herself one of the leading 3-point shooters in the nation," said head coach Doug Bruno.

"The entire DePaul Program is devastated by Megan's injury and while we express total team empathy for Megan's unfortunate circumstance, we also know that every team in America must deal with injuries. It will now be up to the remainder of our team to step up and fill the huge void left."

A three-point sharp shooter, Rogowski has tallied 243 triples, which is the third most all-time at DePaul. Her 621 3-point field goal attempts rank fourth, while her .391 (243-for-621) percentage from behind the arc is also fourth all time.

The Prospect Heights native has scored 1,144 career points for the Blue Demons.
