Harvest Christian snares tourney title

Harvest Christian nabs Alden-Hebron tourney crown: Paulina Castro had 26 points including seven 3-pointers in a 59-40 win over Hebron, then Kylee Knox scored 13 points in a 57-15 victory over the Harvard JV as the Lions won the Hebron tournament championship. Knox added 11 points and 5 steals to the Hebron win and Castro had 11 points against the Harvard JV. Rachel Oostdyk added 8 points against Harvard as well as Harvest ran its record to 12-3 for the season.

St. Francis 47, St. Edward 40: All-tournament selection Cece Rapp had 16 points and 11 rebounds but the Green Wave fell in the third place game at the Lisle Holiday Cage Classic. Yssa Sto. Domingo added 9 points for St. Edward (12-4).

South Elgin 59, Zion-Benton 53: Mackie Kelleher scored 19 points and Bridgette Williams added 15 to lead the Storm to a win on the final day of the Montini Christmas tournament. Laura McIntosh added 10 points and Cara Fahey had 9 for South Elgin (10-5).
