Elk Grove got four players into double-figure scoring to improve to 2-1 in York's Jack Tosh Holiday Classic with a 67-57 victory over Metea Valley on Monday.

Dan Hadler set the tone for Elk Grove with 16 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Tyler Ingebrigtsen had a pair of 3s and finished with 15 points, while Joe Gatziolis shot 7-for-9 from the field for 14 points (along with 7 rebounds), and Tyree Howard contributed 10 points.

Center Mark Konkle led Metea Valley with 16 points.

Elk Grove advances to a 1:30 p.m. Tuesday tournament finale against Palatine.

Minooka 53, Schaumburg 51 (OT): In the end, it was just a little bit too much Nick Clemmons and Joe Butler for the Saxons.

Butler finished with a game-high 20 points a team-best 7 rebounds, while Clemmons had 15 points and 8 steals to help Minooka outlast Schaumburg.

Jason Schoo (13 points), Aaron Kline (12) and Charlie Quilico (11) paced the Saxons in scoring, and Brendan Parker had a game-high 8 rebounds along with 4 steals. Schaumburg completes its tournament with a 3 p.m. Tuesday game against Wheaton Warrenville South.

Lane Tech 48, Rolling Meadows 41: The Mustangs enjoyed a 14-4 lead after the first quarter, but Lane Tech had the better of it the rest of the way to earn its first tournament victory.

Jared Murphy led Meadows with 13 points and Matt Wojcik had 9. The Mustangs had a rough shooting performance as a team finishing at 33 percent from the field and 42.6 percent at the foul line.

Diangelo Perry led all scorers with 19 points (including four 3s) for Lane Tech, and Vance Rockford contributed 9 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists.

Rolling Meadows wraps up its tournament with an 8:30 a.m. game against McHenry on Tuesday.

at Pekin

Normal West 50, Hersey 42: Payton Haas led the Huskies with 20 points, but Normal West was able to convert 18 of 29 shots from the field in claiming a first-round tournament victory.

Zak Cooper contributed 7 points and Josh Mailloux 5 for the Huskies, who struggled to a 5-for-14 effort at the free throw line. Cole Monckton had 4 rebounds to lead Hersey.

Hersey meets Freeport at 3:45 p.m. in the first of two games on Tuesday. The Huskies will play again at either 8 or 9:30 p.m.

at Christian Liberty

The host Chargers picked up a pair of victories in the tournament they are hosting, first topping Illinois Lutheran 55-42 and later besting Waldorf 65-45.

Paul Weiss led the way with 15 points for Christian Liberty against Illinois Lutheran, and Sam Silva had 14.

Silva had a game-high 19 against Waldorf, while Weiss and Ben Kemper each had 15.
