Girls basketball: Fox Valley roundup Tuesday, Nov. 25

Jacobs 40, St. Viator 29: Jenni Barnec had 10 points to lead the Golden Eagles (3-2) back over .500 with a win at the Dundee-Crown tournament. Jessica Powell added 9 points for Jacobs.

Rolling Meadows 65, Cary-Grove 37: Jennifer Pilut scored a team high 9 points while Katie Barker had 8 for the Trojans (2-2) at the Lake Zurich tournament.

North Chicago 43, Bartlett 39: Despite big efforts from Kelly Harris (15 points) and Kaitlin Brohan (12), the Hawks (1-2) fell at the Naperville Central tournament. Harris also added 10 rebounds as well.

Aurora Christian 65, Harvest Christian 42: The Lions (3-2) could not get their offense going in a nonconference game at home. Kylee Knox and Aylssa Iverson scored 10 points each for the Lions. Paulina Castro had 9.

South Elgin 58, Crystal Lake South 32: Led by Bridgette Williams (14 points) and Mackenzie Kelleher (11), the Storm (3-1) grabbed the win over the Gators in a Dundee-Crown tournament game played at South Elgin. Chanel Fanter led the way for Crystal Lake South (3-2) with 12 points while Lauren Gauger and Hailee Massie added 8 each.

Westminster Christian 45, Willows Academy 38: Emily Kovachevich scored 9 points for the Warriors (2-3) in a nonconference win. Emily Lamp added 8 points and 5 rebounds with Jax Kelty adding 6 and 8 respectively for Westminster.

Woodstock 57, Larkin 48: A big performance from Marlee Kyles was not enough for the Royals (2-3), to take victory at the Burlington Central Tournament. Kyles finished with 29 points and Quixmia Washington added 12.

Batavia 61, Elgin 38: Abby Pierre-Louis scored 12 points and Destiny West added 10 for Elgin (2-3, 0-1) in an Upstate Eight River opener for both teams.

Hononegah 97, Dundee-Crown 83: Lauren Lococo hit for 18 points but the Chargers fell at their own tournament. Allison Michalski added 17 points and Creighton Fed had 15 for D-C (2-3).
