St. Edward 70, Westmont 28: Madelyn Spagnola hit for 29 points and Cece Rapp added 10 as the Green Wave rolled to an easy nonconference win in their season opener.
Dundee-Crown 53, Grayslake Central 43: Yorkville transfer Creighton Fed scored 22 points in her Dundee-Crown debut as the Chargers notched a Fox Valley Conference crossover win on the road. Jesania Laboy and Jasmine Sanchez each had 8 points for D-C.
Jacobs 68, Woodstock 48: Jessica Powell hit for a game-high 25 points as Jacobs rolled to a season-opening win in a Fox Valley Conference crossover. Carly Sidor added 11 points for the Golden Eagles and Jenn Barnec had 10.
CL South 49, Prairie Ridge 27: Hailee Massie scored a career-high 16 points and Chanel Fanter added 12 to lead the Gators to an FVC crossover win in coach Mark Mucha's varsity debut. Kianna Clark added 8 points for Crystal Lake South.
Harvest Christian 68, Harlan 45: Kylee Knox had 29 points and Paulina Castro added 23 to lead the Lions (2-0) at their own Thanksgiving tournament.
Rockford East 67, Westminster Christian 49: Maddie Versluys had 28 points, 6 rebounds and 4 steals for the Warriors (0-2) at the Harvest Christian tournament.
Proviso West 59, Hampshire 38: Emma Benoit had 11 points for Hampshire in its season opener at the Hoffman Estates tournament. Peyton DeChant added 9 points and Nikki Dumoulin had 8 for the Whip-Purs.
